- Sea LCL and rail are billed on the W/M ratio — max(cubic metres, tonnes), where 1 CBM = 1000 kg.
- Air freight volumetric weight = (L x W x H in cm) / 6000; chargeable = the greater of actual and volumetric.
- Express courier volumetric weight = (L x W x H in cm) / 5000.
- FCL container fit uses ~28 CBM usable for a 20GP, ~58 for a 40GP and ~68 for a 40HQ.

It returns total volume, gross weight, chargeable weight and best-fit container — all computed exactly.
For pricing it loads the official Freightos Marketplace rate estimator on demand, which returns real air,
ocean and express estimates and transit times from the Freightos price database. Those estimates are
indicative; the rate quoted at booking is the binding one.

## Group structure (multi-entity invoicing)

ChinaAgent operates as a group of companies rather than one legal entity, so each supplier can be routed
through the structure that matches it:

- **Mainland, VAT-registered** — for large export factories. Formal purchase contracts, 13% VAT *fapiao*,
  customs declaration and export tax rebate (passed through in the quoted price).
- **Mainland, non-VAT** — for market stalls, small workshops and trading floors that cannot issue a *fapiao*.
  Gives access to low-MOQ, fast-turnaround suppliers that single-entity agents must turn away.
- **Hong Kong entity** — for international settlement. Contract and invoice from a Hong Kong company, payment
  in USD, EUR or HKD to a Hong Kong bank, outside mainland foreign-exchange controls.

Practical effect: a 40,000-piece factory order and a 200-piece market run can ship on one consolidated
shipment, settled in a single currency, with documentation that clears customs in the buyer's country.
